There may be four 5G iPhone 12 smartphones next year

We were expecting Apple to launch three versions of their iPhone 12 in 2020, although according to a recent report, Apple will launch four new 5G iPhones in 2020.

The news comes in a report from JPMorgan analyst Samik Chatterjee, who has revealed that there will two high end devices, probably the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max with a 6.1 inch display and a 6.7 inch display.

There will also be two lower priced devices like the iPhone 11, these will have a 5.4 inch display and a 6.1 inch display.

The 2H20 lineup will include all OLED phones, with screen sizes of 5.4″ (one model), 6.1″ (two), and 6.7″ (one), broadening the screen size range from 5.8″ to 6.5″ in 2019. We expect the two higher end models (one 6.1″, one 6.7″) to include mmWave support, triple camera and World facing 3D sensing, while the lower-end models (one 6.1″, one 5.4″) will include support for only sub-6 GHz and dual camera (no World-facing 3D sensing).”

This sounds interesting and not something we have heard before, but it is possible that Apple has decided to launch four different iPhone 12 handsets in the fall of 2020 as these will be the companies first 5G smartphones.

We know that the design of the handsets will be changing and that the notch will either be smaller or removed completely. The new iPhones will also come with a new processor, which could be more efficient and use the 5nm process. Apple are expected to launch their new iPhones some time in September of 2020.
