There’s not much happening in Lubbock, Texas.
Instead of visiting the American Windmill Museum or the Buddy Holly Center, Texas Tech students started camping out for the Kentucky game more than 48 hours before tip-off. This group setup shop at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Kentucky fans are in no position to mock another fanbase for camping out for tickets. After all, hundreds of folks spend days parked outside of Memorial Coliseum to watch the Wildcats’ first practice. What makes the campers in Lubbock a strange breed is that they already have tickets to the game. Camping out is unnecessary. There’s a separate line for general admission that is currently empty.
It’s a weird move but it got them some time the spotlight and a picture with Chris Beard.
