To celebrate the release, the game will have a special sale until November 17th for 2,940 yen which translates to roughly $27 dollars. No information was given for international releases.
A worldwide release could be imminent as the game was released across the world for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC earlier this year. In fact, PC players can pick it up via Steam here. In Japan, the game was also released for the PS Vita. This new iOS version has been optimized for smart devices and will feature support for iCloud save data support.
Spike Chunsoft has described Steins;Gate Elite as a game being fully remastered with animated scenes taken from the anime that inspired it. This new and immersive experience follows a group of tech intelligent misfits who, while being students, learn how to change the past by sending an email through a modified microwave. This new curiosity of pushing the boundaries of time quickly begins to unravel.
The students quickly become entangled with SERN, the company behind the Large Hadron Collider. To make matters more complex, they meet John Titor, a man who claims to be from a distant dystopian future. Steins;Gate Elite is a science fiction visual novel and interactive movie game in many cases. This is a fully animated and updated version of the 2009 game Steins;Gate.
This fully animated adventure brings with it all of the beautiful animation from the 24 episode Steins;Gate anime. This remastered ultimate version allows you to experience this world like never before and returning players will find new animated sequences for a select few endings. Replayability is here, as you’ll have to make choices and deal with the consequences of your decisions. It’s your actions that’ll give you one of many endings and push the world line closer, or farther, to 1% divergence.
Steins;Gate is one of the most popular animes to have been released and with the series having just released its sequel series last year, a new game was imminent.
