We have seen Samsung pushing out this update to the global (Exynos powered) Galaxy S9 and Note 9. This new update brings in fixes for a handful of vulnerabilities that you can check out on the official page maintained by the Korean OEM.

Soon after the Exynos versions, the November security patch is available to the carrier models.

T-Mobile Galaxy Note 9

T-Mobile took the pole position with Galaxy Note 9. The Android 9.0-based update carriers the version number N960USQS3CSJ1.

It was made available on November 8 and is available for device meets the update requirements.

As mentioned, this update carries the November security patch so it will upgrade your T-Mobile Note 9 to the most current software version.

Many users in forums have noted receiving the update. Most are impressed that Samsung, and T-Mobile have been able to push out a monthly security update within the same month of release.

Verizon Galaxy Note 9

The verizon variant of Galaxy Note 9 is also getting the November Android security patch. Like the other variants of this device, the current software update gives users the most up to date Android security patches on their device.

The new software version is exactly same as the T-Mobile one, i.e. N960USQS3CSJ1. Matter of fact, the bootloader version is bumped from v2 to v3. As a result, users can’t downgrade to older firmware anymore.

Galaxy Note 9 was launched in 2018 and is still considered as one of the best devices to go for as it is available for huge discounts across various stores and is eligible to receive Android 10 update.

Though this update does not tag along any new features, the device stability and performance improvements cannot be ignored.
