League of Legends: Kit Kat is the latest brand to sponsor the LEC

With mere hours to spare until the League of Legends European Championship kicks off, a new sponsor has been announced. Candy bar Kit Kat joins the LEC to provide entertainment during the breaks between matches, though the specific content is yet to be revealed.

 

Earlier this month the LEC already announced it had extended its partnerships with Kia Motors and Alienware. Logitech G, Warner Music, Tchibo, and Beko also returned as sponsors for the 2020 season. AKRacing was announced just this week as the new official player chair sponsor. The LEC was one of the most successful esports leagues in Western esports in 2019 in terms of viewership and engagement, so it’s no surprise that Riot managed to bring quite a few new brands on board to sponsor it.
