Students in Nampa’s Lonestar Middle School will soon be getting a big boost to help them become more tech-savvy.

The Washington DC based group, Digital Promise, works to help kids through what’s called the “digital learning gap.” The group makes sure all students–especially those from low income families–have equal access to computers and technology as they get ready for high school and college.

Working with HP, the group recently selected Lonestar as the second school in the entire country to get the high tech help.

Over the next few months, the school district and Lonestar administrators will be meeting with HP and representatives from Digital Promise to figure out what digital resources will best serve the students at the school.
