Crypto Asset Rating names former SEC counsel as Chief Legal Officer


Crypto Asset RatingCrypto Asset Rating Inc (CAR), a US-based independent rating agency, has appointed Jacob Prudhomme as the new Chief Legal Officer.

In the new role, Prudhomme will oversee the agency’s legal and regulatory affairs and will design a compliance program focused on safeguarding the independence and integrity of CAR’s analytic process.

Jacob was formerly Head of North American Compliance at S&P Global Ratings and a former Senior Counsel at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).  Most recently, he worked for Corcoran Regulatory Advisors LLC where he provided regulatory advisory services to blockchain and FinTech companies.

Crypto Asset Rating generates a rating system for unregulated and unorganized crypto and blockchain markets especially crypto assets. The rating system developed by the team is built on evaluations based on an objective criterion. The rating system is designed to review and evaluate crypto projects, digital assets, and ventures based on various quantitative and qualitative parameters across 15 categories.

The company’s Crypto Capital Access Platform (CCAP) is a tokenization platform that offers Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for the token issuers, broker-dealer, and asset managers.

CAR is also developing Crypto Business World, a platform where analysts will share in-depth and insightful content to inform the global crypto audience. The content will include articles, news, reports, interviews, videos, podcasts, case studies, webinars, etc. CAR’s ecosystem aims to bring reliability and trust to the world of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies.
