Ready at Dawn’s The Order: 1886 was without a doubt a graphical powerhouse when it first released on the PS4 back in 2015, however, the gameplay and mechanics did not really jive well with critics and players. Seen as some as a failure, the studio seemed to have moved on from the IP since, but there remains a vocal minority that really wants a sequel.
Now, a rumour might just be making those wishes come true, as OsirisBlack, a credible source of leaks with the track record of accurate PS4 Pro information before the console’s release, has come out with alleged insider information about a sequel to The Order: 1886 that will be on the PS5. While the IP he is referring to is never named, the nature of his posts and the information he shares make it quite obvious.
OsirisBlack has claimed to have seen a gameplay trailer for the sequel. He described the sequence as showing a man with a shoulder-mounted light source checking out a dim room, then firing on and fleeing from a yellow-eyed, many-armed monstrosity. The creature taunts him from behind the door, “almost singing” the words “I have found you” before the game’s title appears on the screen and the trailer ends. The most notable information is that it was live gameplay, and that the lighting and physics were “on another level.”
Of course, all these “facts” cannot be proved until we get an actual confirmation, but it does spark a little flame of hope for fans awaiting a follow-up to Ready at Dawn’s The Order: 1886.
